Direct Current BV warmly congratulates Joulz BV on winning the Audience Award IIR Smart Grid Innovation Award 2012. This award is especially joyful to Direct Current because it also contributes to this project by Joulz, a concept of an "energy self-sufficient" holiday resort.

Verhagen Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation has appointed nine places in the Netherlands where electricity smart grids will be built. One of these places is Haarlemmermeer, at PrimAviera, where Direct Current BV will develop and implement a medium-voltage and low voltage DC network. The minister has awarded Direct Current BV a financial grant for this pilot project named DC=DeCent (decentralized energy network horticulture). The network will be constructed in the greenhouse area along the A4 in the Haarlemmermeer. The test area is a developement by direct current BV. Direct Current BV does so in direct collaboration with Joulz, Siemens, Stallingsbedrijf Glastuinbouw, Kema, and the Direct Current Foundation. Read the Press Release DC=Decent.

Amsterdam Innovation Motor (AIM) and the District of Haarlemmermeer is teaming up with the Direct Current Foundation to organize a Direct Current Master Class. This master class will be held on November 9 from 15:30 to 17:30 hrs at the Business Platform.
In this master class you will hear all about the latest developments, opportunities and problems around direct current. In addition, you will meet pioneers on sustainability.
There will also be some Direct Current BV staff members present at this master class as a support team for the Direct Current Foundation.
Over 2000 visitors attended The Innovation Relay in the Van Nelle factory yesterday. It was a big success.
Direct current really held the spotlight! The post was manned by nine persons from Joulz, Kema, Innosys Delft, Direct Current BV, and The Direct Current Foundation.
The Innovation Relay is THE biennial event of the Club of Maarssen. On this event representatives of the industry, research institutions, and governmental departments, demonstrate the latest sustainable and innovative developments in the fields of environment, mobility, transportation, space and water.
Direct Current BV will be present at this event under the banner of the Direct Current Foundation. On this post, we represent and are the spokesperson for the master plan DC Haarlemmermeer.
Direct Current BV engineered and constructed, in cooperation with the Direct Current Foundation (Stichting Gelijkspanning), the Master Plan DC Haarlemmermeer. This project has been submitted to the IPIN regulation of EL & I "Experimental Smart grids." Before and during the submission, the following parties have been conferred with: officials concerned of the local council of Haarlemmermeer, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, Siemens, the Storage Company Horticulture Netherlands, Direct Current BV, Joulz, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
